I

Grind Fresh

Grind whole bean just before pulling your shot. Use an espresso-specific grinder set to fine — 18–20g for a double shot. If you ordered pre-ground, skip this step.

II

Dose & Tamp

Distribute evenly in your portafilter basket. Tamp with firm, level pressure — around 30 lbs. An uneven tamp causes channeling and uneven extraction.

III

Pull the Shot

Target 25–30 seconds for a double shot at 9 bar. A honey-like stream building to a rich, persistent crema is the sign of a correctly dialed-in shot.

IV

Dial In

Too fast and sour? Grind finer. Too slow and bitter? Grind coarser. Small adjustments per bag. The goal: balanced, sweet, lasting crema, no bitterness.

I have tried a dozen specialty espresso blends in the last year. This is the one I keep coming back to. The crema is perfect, finish is clean, zero bitterness. Outstanding.

My La Marzocco has never been happier. Pulls a beautiful shot every time — rich, sweet, no bitterness. The whole bean freshness makes a real difference.

Got this for my cafe after a demo. Customers have been asking about it since day one. The consistency batch to batch is remarkable.
