Built in Virginia · Inspired by Istanbul
Cezve was born from a simple truth — authentic Turkish coffee didn't exist in America the way it should. So we built it from scratch, the right way, without shortcuts.
The Origin
The Ottoman Empire spread coffee across three continents. The cezve — that small copper pot — was at the center of every negotiation, every welcome, every morning for 500 years. Coffee wasn't something you drank while doing something else. It was the thing itself.
In Turkey, they say: "A cup of coffee commits one to forty years of friendship." That's not a slogan. It's how the culture actually works.
"Turkish coffee is the beginning of every important conversation."
The Problem
Walk into any Middle Eastern grocery, any Turkish restaurant in America. The Turkish coffee on the shelf was roasted overseas, packed months ago, and shipped in bulk. By the time it reaches you, the volatile oils that create the foam — that make Turkish coffee what it is — are long gone.
You can still make a cup. But you cannot make the cup. The one your grandmother made. The one that fills a room with the smell of something ancient.
That's the gap Cezve was built to fill.
The Answer
Cezve handcrafts every batch fresh. The grind is dialed specifically for the method — powdery fine, finer than espresso, the consistency the cezve demands. We ship direct, so the coffee that arrives at your door is the coffee that should arrive.
No warehouse. No shelf time. No compromise on the grind. Just authentic Turkish coffee, made the way it was always meant to be made — and tasting the way it was always meant to taste.
A Brief History
What We Stand For
We don't adapt Turkish coffee for Western palates. We make it the way it's always been made, and trust that people recognize the real thing when they taste it.
Freshness is the difference between a good cup and an extraordinary one. Every batch is handcrafted to order. No sitting in a warehouse. No stale shelf inventory.
Turkish coffee is slow, precise, and requires attention. We won't make it easier or faster. We'll help you do it properly — because properly is the only way it's worth doing.
